AGTRAX PLATFORMS PROVIDE SEAMLESS INTEGRATION FOR KANSAS COOPERATIVE

When The Cooperative Grain and Supply Co. (CGS) planned to add a 1.3-million-bushel temporary storage unit at its Bazine,KS location in the west-central part of the Sunflower State, it became the latest expansion at the cooperative to be interfaced with inbound and outbound Scale Interface software platforms from AgTrax, Hutchinson, KS(866-360-0016).

General Manager Michael Kempke says he knew the AgTrax scale interface would work well with the new addition, because the cooperative has had a very successful experience using AgTrax since 2005.

“AgTrax is a five on a range of one to five,” notes Kempke. “They’re at the top of everything and are always there to help.”

Kempke, who came on board as CGS general manager in 2019, says AgTrax is a perfect fit for the coop.

“The thing I like about AgTrax is that it fits our business,” he states. “Over the years, I’ve looked at a lot of different software companies, but what I like about AgTrax is that the company offers a lot of different solutions for all of our operations. It all connects seamlessly, and that allows us to have a comprehensive approach to all our operations, everything from precision ag services to grain marketing.”

Diverse Product and Service Line CGS’ primary business lines of grain handling and agronomy sales also include a feed mill that produces rations for cow-calf herds, fuel sales, and light auto repair.

An example of AgTrax’s ability to connect diverse operations, Kempke notes, is TraxView, a fully integrated, comprehensive accounting software package. “TraxView handles everything from our agronomy invoicing to ac- counts payable and receivable,” he states.

AgTrax’s API partner integrates with AgWorks and Bushel merge smoothly with TraxView, according to Kempke. “Our precision ag platform, HyG4 (powered by FieldReveal), flows into AgWorks and gives us field-by-field information for our agronomy customers,” he says. “AgWorks handles all of our agronomy products and services, and all of that flows into the TraxView platform.”

The Bushel application posts all of CGS’ grain transactions and contracts for its grower-customers. “CGS uses Bushel Trade for live grain prices, basis bids, and hedging,” Kempke says. “In addition, our Bushel website gives us a modern platform for transacting our grain business while staying connected to AgTrax.”

AgTrax ODBC allows CGS to produce custom-designed reports gleaned from AgTrax using Microsoft Excel, Word, or Crystal Reports, he notes.
